- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Z-Morh Tunnel in Sonamarg, in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir also know as Sonamarg Tunnel.
- Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Jairam Gadkari has announced “Cashless Treatment Scheme” for road accident victims.
- National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog has partnered with New Shop to launch the initiative “EmpowHER Biz-Sapno ki Udaan” to empower women entrepreneurs.
- Unnat Jyoti by Affordable Light Emitting Diodes (LED) for All (UJALA) scheme and Street Lighting National Programme (SLNP) have completed 10 successful years of implementation.
- In New Delhi, India and Malaysia held their first bilateral Cooperation of India-Malaysia Security Dialogue.
- Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) has launched Kisan Samriddhi Portal to promote Agricultural Marketing.
- The 28th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of Parliaments of Commonwealth Countries (CSPOC) is to be hosted in New Delhi. This was announced by Om Birla, Speaker of Lok Sabha at the CSPOC meeting held in Guernsey.
- The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has declared the year 2025 as the “Year of AI”.

- Henley & Partners released Henley Passport Index 2025. As per the report Singapore ranked 1st by giving visa free access to 195 countries, whereas India ranks at 85th position granting visa free access to only 57 countries.
- Bengaluru based market intelligence platform Tracxn Technologies Limited, has ranked India at 3rd Position in terms of funding received in the fintech segment.
- World Economic Forum (WEF) has published its 5th edition of Future of Jobs Report 2025, in which it states that 78 Million new job opportunities will be created by 2030 and 40% of existing skills will become outdated.
- India and Nepal Inter-Governmental Committee on Trade, Transit and Cooperation to combat unauthorised trade was held at Kathmandu, Nepal.
Banking & Finance:
- World Bank has approved a loan of USD 35 million to enhance education systems in Meghalaya.
- ICIC Lombard and PhonePe has united to provide Maha Kumbh Mela Insurance.
- Reserve Bank of India has released a Master Direction on credit information Reporting. It also introduced a New 15-Day credit reporting rule effective from 1st January, 2025.

- Blue Flag Certification was given to Kerala’s Kappad and Chal Beaches for the 4th consecutive year.
